Juan Carlos MUÑOZ, mandolin & baroque mandolin

He  has studied with Sylvain Dagosto in France. He is a graduate of the  Conservatoire d’Esch/Alzette, and the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne in mandolin and   baroque mandolin which he studied with Marga Wilden-Hüsgen.

He is the co-founder of several ensembles: « il forum musicale », the Duo Calace, the « Luxembourg Mandolin Quintet »,..His worldwide concerts and tours with these ensembles include: the USA, Canada, Japan, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Greece, and  France...

For the  last few years he has devoted his time to composing, and several of his works have been published in Germany.

He is regularly invited to give master-classes throughout Europe, and also in  Japan. He is also a jury panel member for various international competitions.

He teaches mandolin and chamber music at the Conservatoire of ’Esch/Alzette and in the « Hochschule für Musik » in Saarbrücken.
